My husband and I own Sears Driving Schools in MI, and a couple of road test sites, and a used car lot. (!) Actually, it's mostly HIM, I don't teach (I'm a screamer, didn't practice with my own kids - they scare me), I'm in the paperwork department. :-) I come into contact with a lot of people who have helped me with the details in my books - we have employees who are teachers, ex-state troopers, policemen, our insurance agent helped a ton, attorneys. We hardly ever take our work home with us, that would be suicidal! It does provide me with a lot of story ideas though.
