In addition, Amir is an inspirational speaker, conscious creation coach, and the holiday and spirituality expert on Conversations with Mrs. Claus, a weekly podcast heard in more than 90 countries and downloaded by 110,000 listeners/month. Anthony,

Thanks for you kind words. Blogging is so important these days, and you can make such a difference just with a blog--and reach so many readers that way. I'd love to know more about your group's upcoming conference. Do you need any more speakers?I spoke at SFWC on How to Blog a Book. I also speak on how to evaluate your book for success, among other things. Best wishes and feel free to contact me with blogging questions.

Hello, Nina. Such good fortune to meet you here. Your profile provides me with a rich selection of links to follow. I dipped my toe into the water of your How To Blog A Book site, and I'll be revisiting. I'm especially interested in that topic, because although I don't post a slice of my current WIP to my website every day (I take plenty of time to edit, rewrite and polish before planting), I do place pieces of my writing there. So much advice is these days "out there" as to how to write a blog, much of it good and practical advice. But I'm a firm believer in creating and recreating the notion of a blog. We're California neighbors. I live in Morro Bay, in San Luis Obispo County (Oprah's "Happiest Place on Earth"), and though I missed the recent SF Writers Conference, I heard all about it from my friend Judy Salamacha. Judy attended the SF Conference, and she coordinates our own Central Coast Writers Conference (next one coming up in September 2011). I, along with Judy, am a board member of SLO NightWriters, a longstanding and ever growing writers organization. Looks like I have a lot to learn from you, so again I say thank you.

Wow and wow! You are an inspiration! What a great response at Smashwords! I just produced three Youtube videos on the topic of short books and booklets. You can find them here: http://www.youtube.com/user/NinaAmir. Keep me posted. See you soon.

Hey, wanted to let you know that I followed your 5 Reasons to Consdier Writing a Short Book(let) and uploaded an e-book(let) at smashwords.com using a stand alone chapter from my manuscript. In one week, it had 50 downloads. Thanks!

Nina,

I've been working through your proposal workbook. I'm finding it very helpful. While about halfway through while flying cross country, used the 250 word "what is your book about" page to conduct some impromtu market research asking complete strangers on the plane to read that section and tell me if they'd buy the book. Got a very helpful response from about a dozen people.

See you at the conference.

I'm here now...so here it is: cpywrtcom@aol.com. Yes, I'll be driving up.

I'm running to post office later, could you send your address.. you could send it to my jinnimitchell@hotmai.com if thats better. I can see from your tags your very busy. Maybe the drive up, if your driving...

jinni

Sure, send along the recording. I'll try to make time to listen to it and we can chat at the conference.

Hi Nina, the story I recorded is 17 minutes long. It is written in a children's format but I have found adults to response is very strong as well. The book is inspired from spiritual studies I do on my own. I'm fallowing your blog advice and rewriting my query letters. It will be nice to say hello at the conference.

Jinni

Jinni,

I'm not sure what you mean by a recording of the book. How long is it? I offer a free 15 or 20 minute coaching or consulting session. If I can listen and offer feedback in that amount of time, sure, but I don't specialize in children's books. I do specialize in self-help, though. I know you are doing children's self-help. Is it YA or younger?
