Hey everyone! There are a bunch of new (and existing) scholarships that pay for registration at the 2012 San Francisco Writers Conference February 16-19, 2012. The deadlines are in early January and from what I hear, very few scholarship requests have been received. This is crazy. SFWC is one of the premier writers conferences in the world, and it's right around the corner. So go to www.sfwriters.org and click on SCHOLARSHIPS. In fact, San Francisco Writers University sponsors one each year in honor of our fabulous techie Alexis Masters: The Alexis Masters Scholarship for Spiritual Writing. So if you write spiritual fiction or non-fiction, check out the requirements, which are minimal, and get your entry in. There's also the Bharti Kirchner Ethnic Fiction scholarship, the Victoria Hudson Emerging Writers Scholarship and the Reuven Jaffe Scholarship for Jewish fiction or non-fiction. Or if you know a SF-based high school student, there are student scholarships for them too. Don't delay. You could attend this high-powered writers conference that has changed many people's lives, FOR FREE!
