a poem for my sister nancy who's birthday is March 10
I prayed for a miracle, not the lesson kind of miracle, just a straight up good old fashioned miracle
and I went to sleep
About a white winged horse sitting next to a black crow on a barbed wire fence
I was so amazed at their balance
the white horse and the black crow.
I followed their eyes to see what they saw
Rolling hills of chartreuse with specks of celadon
grateful for the miracle
then later that day I thought....
seems redundant to pray for what is already here
oh my dreams, they get me good!
